Among Nymphs and Gods

Polish composer Karol Szymanowski painted his music in impressionistic colours, sometimes sunny, sometimes in twilight.

In Mythes, both violin and piano express all their delicate nuances, from the mildest approach to longing exclamations. The piece is inspired by three figures in Greek antiquity: the nymph Aretuasa, the self-absorbed Narcissus and the womaniser Pan.
